LOHN @ Home Volume 13

LOHN @ Home is our way of sharing spaces and scent stories in our community.

I’m Jazmin, a florist and the owner of Pictus Goods—a shop rooted in florals, colour, and curating really, really special things. I’ve always loved starting new creative projects and letting them completely take over me. That’s exactly what happened when I became a florist, and again when I opened the store.

Pictus started in January 2020, just before the lockdown. It began as an online gift shop where I made candles and salt soaks in my kitchen, and slowly grew into a full retail space. The shop has a strong focus on female Canadian makers, and everything in it reflects the things I love.

I'm inspired by colour and nature. Gardens, flowers, textures - those are the things that guide my work. Whether I'm designing a floral arrangement or curating new items for the shop, it all comes back to how something makes you feel in your space.

Recently, I graduated from yoga teacher training at Pure Yoga. I’ve been diving into a new rhythm, building rituals around movement, scent, and slowing down.

I am —

Creative, ambitious, and a bit chaotic.

To me, a home is not complete without—

Colour, my cats, & my sewing machine.

I recharge by—

Binge watching reality TV and doing yoga.

The scent of Sandalwood & Palo Santo always reminds me of—

When I first started Pictus Goods, mixing candles and soaks in my kitchen back in 2019.

I light candles to—

Freshen my space, calm down, and unwind—especially on a colder night.

My feel-good fragrance is—

ESTE. I always come back to it. It’s grounding, and just makes me feel good.

I'm currently obsessing over—

Teaching yoga. It’s a new learning curve, and I’m loving it.
