LOHN x Tacit

LOHN x Tacit

The LOHN x Tacit capsule was born out of a commitment to uplift other women while working together to create meaningful products.

We are proud to be donating a portion of the sale of each candle to Interval House, leaders in the campaign for women's empowerment providing innovative, specialized services, that help survivors of intimate partner violence and their children transform their lives and break the cycle of abuse.
As female-founders, we are invested in amplifying historically underrepresented artists, entrepreneurs, and women in STEM alike. Today we thought we'd tell our community a bit more about the artists behind the limited edition designs, launching on February 6th.

Rachel Joanis

Rachel is an artist based in Toronto. Illustrating has always been her passion, especially drawing anything associated with the world of fashion and beauty. She has always been inspired by fashion-related images, with their endless possibilities for expression using colours, textures, and styles. Rachel loves representing the fashion world through her illustrations.

As a female artist, she understands the importance of representation, and the significance of seeing yourself reflected in art and media. The majority of her work focuses around women, and promoting different ethnicities and body types, to help further inclusivity and promote equal representation.

Rachel has worked with a range of brands including The Four Seasons, Levi’s, The Whitney Museum and Holt Renfrew, as well as had her work featured in FASHION Magazine, Harper's Bazaar UK, and Allure.

Maxine McCrann

Artist Maxine McCrann delights in the everyday.

Inspired by her passion for community, food, wine, and all things bold and colourful, Maxine’s work offers poetic depictions of life in Toronto, Detroit, and her native New York City.

With a client list boasting the likes of The Drake Hotel, Shop Coat, and many more best-in-Toronto hot spots, Maxine has become one of Canada’s most beloved artists.

LeeAndra Cianci

LeeAndra Cianci is a Toronto-based artist, illustrator, and designer. Her drawings, animations, and digital illustrations are influenced by art, pop and meme culture and inspired by the minutiae of everyday life. Her work explores her relationship to feminism, self care, and the pursuit of (her idea of) happiness.

She’s worked with clients such as Nike, The New York Times, and The Globe and Mail.

Emily Pope

Emily Pope is an artist living and working in Toronto, Canada.  Emily's oeuvre explores realist and abstract interpretations of figures and silhouettes.
